My Top 3 Patisseries in Melbourne (2014)

Melbourne is jam packed with good and great patisseries. Whether you’re just looking for a casual for a catch up with friends over cake and coffee, or whether you’re looking for a place to eat great pastries, it is not difficult at all to find a decent place but here are my picks for Top 3. 🙂

1. La Belle Miette

photo 1-13La Belle Miette is my absolute favourite in Melbourne. If I was craving something sweet and couldn’t be bothered whipping something up myself, this is where I will go. I don’t really mind which flavours I get from LBM as they’ll all taste and look great. I don’t know the owner of LBM personally but I am so proud of them for opening their 4th branch this year!

What I love: What’s not to love? I absolutely love their macarons. Usually I would comment on the blatant imitation in packaging but, who cares? if the product itself is comparable, if not BETTER than the so called “original”, then it is the least of my concern!

TRY: Scones & Jam, Salted Caramel, Lemon & Earl Grey

2. Chez Dre

I love Chez Dre for their all day breakfast and amazing coffee. In addition to savoury food, CD also has a great selection of pastries for those of us who have a sweet tooth.

What I Love: All day breakfast and their pastry selection

TRY: Hazelnut Crunch, Pistachio Strawberry and Salted Caramel Eclair

I’ve been an avid follower of LuxBite since 2011 and I’m still loving them a lot to go back quite often whenever I can to get my LB fix.

What I love: They’re staying true to their Asian Malaysian roots when creating new flavours. I love how they try to incorporate some Malaysian flavours into everything they do and I hope this is how they will choose to grow in the future.

TRY: Meringue Monster, Epic Chocolate Craving, Banoffee Opera Style Cake, Caramelised White Chocolate macaron, Endless Love

      • It’s just that I don’t feel like macarons all the time, I’m more of a cake person I guess so a macaron-only place couldn’t be my #1.
You really think so?? What’s the point… Ok it would be a quick post because I’d just copy-paste #1-3 from my Top 10, but… Er… I’m not that desperate, YET 😓
