I love strawberries and that is no secret. I also love tarts so when I wanted to make tarts, it was only natural to make some strawberry tarts to satisfy my cravings. This tart was made of a sweet pastry base, some yummy creme patissier and some juicy, plump strawberries.
I lived in Shanghai for 5 months and I really enjoyed my life there. Yes, the culture there is quite different from what I am used to, so is the life style, but I had a lot of fun and learned a lot about myself and the city while I was there. If I was given a chance to go back again, I would definitely say yes without any hesitation!

My boyfriend and I have received some great opportunities to work in Singapore so we’re about to pack up our lives here in Melbourne, and make a big move to Singapore!
I’m nervous and excited at the same time! Excited for a new chapter of our lives together but also nervous because we are moving into a new environment and starting new jobs. Too many changes may put stress on our relationship but I have faith that we will be more than okay!
Whatever it is though, I am excited for this new beginning with the boyfriend and am excited to share my Singaporean adventures with all of you when I am there!
When life gives you lemons, make lemon cheesecake!
I love lemons. It has such a refreshing flavour and it’s also good for your health.
We had a few guests over to celebrate Chinese New Year with us and I wanted to make a dessert for the night. Majority of the guests and my family prefer desserts that are less sweet, so I decided to make a lemon cheesecake for the occasion.
This cheesecake was easy to make as no baking was required. All I had to do was mix the ingredients together, pour the batter into the pan and it was ready to go in 4 hours after setting.
When I think of Valentine’s Day, I think about love hearts and all things pink. I blame the businesses and the commercialisation of this day for that. I wanted to make a cake for the boyfriend to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and with the pink theme in mind, I decided to make him a Japanese Style Strawberry Shortcake.
